You are a part of the Legacy of Yggdrasil — once the mighty heart of nine interconnected realms and now a fading song carried in the hearts of all the Vanir peoples. They are stewards of the old ways and many are direct descendants of the first Mystics who came to the Dreaming. While some are thousands of years old, their collective pantheon joined the Dreamwalker Order only recently, and it did not take long for Vanir leadership to unearth information capable of destabilizing not just rival pantheons, but the very foundations of the Dreaming itself. Will the warrior-poets of yesteryear begrudgingly uphold a quiet peace or step forward to confront a troubling future before it's too late?

Vanir Appearance
Yggdrasil’s aesthetic is a cultural melting pot that leans towards traditional fantasy with some dieselpunk sprinkled in.
- Clothing: Standard fantasy garb with Norse-inspired details — furs, woven belts, leather pieces, or tunics. Optional rune tattoos or symbolic embroidery on sleeves and hems.
- Nine Realms of Fashion: Outfits can also reflect one of the following:
- Yggdrasil/Asgarra: Generalized viking fantasy garb. This is where everyone comes from if they don't choose one of the other realms.
- Nida: Dwarves with grayscale or stone-textured skin effects. 1920s–30s industrial England — suspenders, collared shirts, flat caps, leather aprons, long coats that focus on earthy tones and forged-metal details. Dwarf ears and beards optional.
- Jotun: Ice "Giants" have pale blue or white-tinted skin with crystal detailing on exposed areas to suggest glacial flesh. Sparkled or shimmered finishes. Layered furs and flowing whites.
- Vana: Druids and Dryads that hail from the dominant continent of Harmonia. Natural fibers, draping greens and browns, vine-like adornments. Layered ritual garments or worn travelers' robes.
- Alf: Magicians that prefer high fantasy robes, bright colors, arcane patterns. Soft whites, golds, or floral colors are common.
- Muspelga: Flamekind hail from this volcanic realm and might appear reptilian or elemental. They are a proud people who prefer red and orange clothing to represent their homeland.
- Niflay/Svardrasil: Voidbound prefer funerary garb and fantasy goth aesthetics with dead-magic or void-themed looks — deep purples, shadowed cloaks, and minimalistic, decaying designs.
- Accessories: Runed amulets, carved wooden staves, stone jewelry, metal-forged clasps or buttons. Furs, wrapped belts, and bone tokens representing dead or lost realms.
- The Vanir are not one species but a collection of species that all came from Yggdrasil before migrating to one of the realms in its branches. Svardrasil was its Shadow-Realm and has also faded, but the people who lived there moved to Niflay specifically.
- Each realm is inspired by one of the IRL Nine Realms of Norse Mythology: Yggdrasil (Midgard), Nida (Nidavellir), Muspelga (Muspelheim), Alf (Alfheim), Asgarra (Asgard), Vana (Vanaheim), Jotun (Jotunheim), Niflay (Niflheim), and Svardrasil (Svartalfheim).
